Myranda helps women address symptoms and include your partner to understand basic physiology of pregnancy, birth and postpartum, while providing options for support with each step.
Physiotherapy during pregnancy can help you:
address pain and symptoms related to pregnancy or increased by pregnancy
understand the changes happening as your body grows and how to make adjustments to posture and your environment (work adjustments, sleeping, sitting and standing)
Pelvic health support proactively and reactively if having bladder leakage, pressure or pain in your pelvis, including perineum education that supports pelvic floor muscles
exercises to help with strengthening glutes, core and back for motherhood, in balance with down regulation for your nervous system and body balancing to improve flexibility of muscles and joints in your spine, pelvis and hips
understand physiological birth: baby’s position and path through the pelvis, comfort measures and birthing positions
connect with other providers you may want or not know could be helpful on your journey
In addition to advanced core and specific pelvic floor training, Myranda is also a Provisional Spinning Babies Parent Birth Educator and Pregnancy & Postpartum Athleticism coach passionate about helping women keep moving and exercising! You can continue what you are doing or start something new AND there are helpful things to know about your body and how we can adjust exercise!

PHYSIOTHERAPY ANY TIME AFTER BIRTH
You can access care anytime you want. You do not need approval from anyone.
Support on all levels are accessible to you when you feel you need it and want it.
Women have sought Physiotherapy at a varying number of weeks following birth virtually and in person at home, as early as 1 week, especially if have any type of muscle pain not managed by pain medications or related to posture
ACUTE AFTER BIRTH SUPPORT - 0 to 12 days
Learn what you can in pregnancy so you can lean into it right away.
You deserve support for any pain or wound tending guidance that you need. Ask all the questions you need in hospital and know there are other supports available to support you.
A “Healthy At Home” Nurse will come days after you arrive home provided by Public Health Care. If you need immediate medical care for severe health concerns or questions, call 911 or 811.
You can also access care from other providers known to you during pregnancy or new after birth provided their qualifications and your comfort levels.
Acute After Birth Physiotherapy care provides support for intense muscles, nerve or bone pain occurring secondary to delivery
Example: tailbone pain, back or hip pain

EARLY POSTPARTUM SUPPORT - 0 to 6 weeks
All women, regardless of where they live, age, race, etc. need and deserve fundamental physiological support in the early postpartum period. Myranda provides holistic Physiotherapy support after birth in the form of:
body work - lymphatic massage, light pressure massage
wound tending and management education
early breath and connection focused exercises
reviewing pregnancy stretches that can be used after birth
New and ongoing clients may reach out to book as needed and many women schedule a follow up either virtually or in-home in person sessions in advance for 3-4 weeks after birth.
Many women send emails or request a discovery call within the first 2 weeks to check if if wanting with Myranda.

No matter how long ago you had miscarriages, passed or live babies, you deserve care and support for any body pains, pelvic health, reproductive and sexual health.
